the way i judge the entries

i thought you might be curioius how i choose the winners. i don't play favourites, just to make things clear, here are some aspects and facts about what i consider important and not important in an entry.

regular challenges: i do believe that every people have their own style. i don't really think that i am (or anything else) are allowed to criticise other's collage. because it's their own way to show thier thoughts and ideas. of course there're techniques i like better, but the awards don't depends on my favourite techniques. a simple collage with only one picture can be fantastic and creative too.

colorisation: of course in this type of challenge the only and most important thing is the naturalness.

retouch: as i said above also in a retouch challenge the naturalness is the most important thing. and of course how realistic it is. i don't think it's too natural if you remove all the wrinkles or freckles.retouching means make a person look better but not totally different. i don't like if a retouch is too sharp or too blurry.

add make-up: this tpye of challenge is the best way to show your creativity. and also is the hardest challenge to judge. a make up don't necessary needs to be realistic. if you like the simple and/or natural make-up, then use it in the colorisation challenge. in this one the more extreme result gets the higher award. but (because there's a but xD) it does not mean that i like all the TOO extreme entries.

regular awards: gold - silver - bronze - amazing - honour

creation of the set - COTS

extra awards: most creative - best make-up

most creative: those persons get this award whom made the most creative collages or add make-up entries in the round.

best make-up: only the colorisation entries can get this award. since the most important criterium in the colorisation challenge is to be the entry as realistic as possible, if your entry does not look realistic but has an unique make-up, then your award is the 'best make-up' award :)
